Lehigh impresses at Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh men's track and field team wrapped up a busy weekend with successful performances at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic. The two-day meet was one of two for the Mountain Hawks this weekend, as Lehigh completed Moravian's Coach Pollard Invitational.
Junior Nicholas Ward placed fifth in the 5,000 meter run with a new personal-best clip of 14:55.82, which bested his previous personal record by a whole minute. Senior Ryan Knouse (15:03.26) and freshman Ryan Cooney (15:04.33) also recorded new personal bests as the duo finished 17th and 19th, respectively.
Senior Tyler Muller ran 1,500 meters in a new personal-best time of 3:53.35 to place 27th in the invitational section of the event. Junior Simon Voorhees finished fourth in the unseeded section of the 1,500 meter run with a new personal-best clip of 3:53.87.
Junior Justin Mahoney sprinted 400 meters in 49.04 seconds to claim ninth place, while classmate Christopher Watson took tenth in the 800 meter run with a clip of 1:53.09. Freshman Lucas Warning finished fifth in the shot put with a launch of 15.15m.
The Mountain Hawks continue preparations for Patriot League Championships next weekend at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invite.
