BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's track and field team completed a successful showing at Moravian's Coach Pollard Invite Saturday at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field. An IC4A qualifying high jump from junior Adeolu Adesida highlighted the competition.

Adesida took first in the high jump with a leap of 2.13m. The mark was just .01m shy of tying his own outdoor school record. Freshman Daniel Boardman and senior Patrick Ciez both finished tied for second in the event with a mark of 1.98m. Boardman led the way for Lehigh in the triple jump with a fourth-place leap of 13.82m.

Junior Julian Copeland jumped a new personal best 7.00m to place second in the long jump, while freshman Lucas Warning threw the shot put 15.00m to take second place. Senior Benjamin Beauchamp picked up third place in the hammer throw with a launch of 50.38m. Sophomore Tyler John finished tied for third in the pole vault with a mark of 4.40m.

Sophomore Evan Ward claimed the 5,000 meter run title with a time of 15.45.88. Otieno sprinted 200 meters in 22.53 to finish third. Freshman James Clements picked up seventh in the 800 meter run with a clip of 1:59.19. Junior Sebastian Nicewicz finished seventh in the 400 meter dash with a mark of 50.89.

The team of Andrew Benito, Martin Otieno, Justin Mahoney and Christopher Del Rossi finished fourth in the 4x100m relay with an impressive time of 42.62 seconds.

Clements joined Robert Smith. Sebastian Nicewicz and Robert Iulo in the 4x400 meter relay as the men placed fifth with a mark of 3:26.99.

The Mountain Hawks also began competition at Bucknell's Bison Classic Saturday. Events will wrap up Sunday and a full recap will be available once the meet is complete.
