Wrestling Club at the Doug Cherry Invitational

Lehigh University Wrestling Club competed in the Doug Cherry Invitational at Lafayette College last weekend (2/2/13). The field consisted of other University Club teams in our conference, including West Chester University, Penn State University, University of Pittsburgh, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Despite our undermanned roster, Lehigh still managed to finish 6th out of 12 teams. Medal-winners included Victor Peters (2nd place at 133 lb), Danny Hong (3rd place at 141 lb) and Paul Sloand (3rd place at 149 lb).
Other notable performances included Nick Davis (174 lb) who had a 9-second pin on the day, and Matt DeBenedittis (149 lb), who looked strong in two hard-fought losses. The team hopes to build upon this performance at the Mid-East Conference Championship on March 2nd.
