Mountain Hawks have stellar results at Winthrop Invite

WINTHROP, S.C. – The Lehigh men's track and field team had some stellar performances at the Winthrop Invite over the weekend as the Mountain Hawks won a pair of events and had three second place finishes. The two victories came from senior Stephen Rumizen in the high jump and senior Kyle Forrest in the decathlon. 
 
Rumizen won the high jump with a distance of 2.00m while Forrest won the decathlon with 6,541 points. Sophomore Ryan Paquin placed second in the event with 6,064 points.
 
Forrest won the high jump (1.85m), the 400m dash (49.86) the pole vault (4.15m), the javelin (44/55,) and the 1500-meter run 4:42.68.
 
Senior Stephen Tutunjian placed second in the long jump with a distance of 6.64m, just 0.03m behind first. Lehigh's fourth second place finish came from junior Jesse Hagedorn in the pole vault with a distance of 4.25m.
 
Freshman Adeolu Adeisda also had a nice performance, placing fourth in the high jump with a distance of 1.95m.
 
Tutunjian also placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 6.64m.
 
The Mountain Hawks split up their squad this weekend as the rest of the team will take part in the Lafayette 7 Way Sunday at 11 a.m.
