Tutunjian earns All-East honors at IC4A Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – Lehigh track and field senior Stephen Tutunjian concluded his stellar winter season by earning All-East honors at the IC4A Championships Sunday in Boston, Mass. Tutunjian placed eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.93 meters to earn All-East honors for the second straight year.
Tutunjian, was named the Male Field Athlete of the Meet at the Patriot League Championships winning a pair of events, was one of 21 Mountain Hawks who qualified for the IC4A Championships over the weekend.
Along with Tutunjian, All-Patriot Leaguer Kyle Forrest finished in 10th in the heptathlon with 4,885 points. His best event was the 1,000-meter run which he placed second in, just three seconds behind first. He also finished tied for fourth in the high jump with a distance of 1.95m.
Evans Kosgei placed 12th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:21.77. James Miller finished 14th in the event while Tyler Mueller was 16th.

All-East honors are handed out to the top eight finishers in each event.
The Mountain Hawks will next compete in three weeks to kick off the outdoor track and field season at the ASICS Winthrop Invitational in Winthrop, SC and the Big 5 Invite in Philadelphia, Pa.
