Lehigh's Lee holds 18-hole lead at Roar-EE Invitational

SUFFERN, N.Y. – Freshman Crystal Lee shot an opening-round 70 take the 18-hole lead after day one at the Roar-EE Invitational at Spook Rock Golf Course. With Lee leading the way, Lehigh sits in fourth place in the 13-team field after the Mountain Hawks shot a 314 on the opening day of competition in their final event of the season.
Lee made three birdies and a bogey to stand at two under par with 18 holes remaining. The freshman from New Jersey led the Mountain Hawks, finishing ten strokes better than the next Lehigh player as senior Emily Endres shot an 80 to sit in a tie for 18th place.
Lee was the only player to shoot under par in the first round as she holds a three shot lead over Penn's Michelle Lee.
Fairleigh Dickinson leads the team race at 305 after 18 holes of play, followed by Penn at 309, Siena at 312. The Mountain Hawks are fourth with their 314, four strokes better than fifth place Columbia.
The Mountain Hawks will wrap-up their spring season with the final 18 holes of the Roar-EE Invitational set for Saturday morning at Spook Rock Golf Course.
