Lehigh-Lafayette softball doubleheader rained out again

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – One of these days, Lehigh and Lafayette will play the final two games of their four game series. That day will not be Wednesday, however, as Wednesday's scheduled doubleheader at Kaufman Field has been rained out. The teams will once again try to finish up their series with a doubleheader on Thursday with first pitch for game one set for 1:30 p.m.

This marks the third time in a six-day span Lehigh has had a doubleheader rained out. The first two games of the Lafayette series were washed away on Friday, while Tuesday's non-league twinbill versus Columbia was also rained out.

The Mountain Hawks (19-15, 5-1 Patriot League) took the first two games from Lafayette on Sunday, winning 1-0 and 10-0 in five innings. Lehigh will next travel to Colgate for a key Patriot League four game series beginning Saturday.

Thursday's doubleheader begins at 1:30 p.m. at Kaufman Field and the games will be broadcast online at Lehighsports.com.
