OLEAN, N.Y. - The Lehigh women's basketball team (21-11,10-4) had its 2010-11 season conclude with a tough 77-43 loss to the Saint Bonaventure Bonnies on Thursday evening. The Bonnies shot 43.5  percent from the field, including 43,9 from three-point range.

"St. Bonaventure really came out firing and hit a lot of their shots," said Lehigh head coach Sue Troyan. "I would really like to thank the seniors for what they have done for our program. They all have grown together and have just made this program stronger since the day they arrived."

Erica Prosser led the way for the Mountain Hawks in her final game, as she scored 16 points. Kristen Dalton was also strong in her final game, netting 11 points. Alexa Williams added a game-high 6 rebounds for the Mountain Hawks.

The Bonnies came out on fire, converting on four of its first five possessions. After St. Bonaventure scored the first three points, Becky Guman put Lehigh on the board with a layup. The Mountain Hawks struggled though to get its offense going early, trailing 14-3 five minutes into the game.

Williams converted on a field goal and Prosser drained a three to give Lehigh five straight points and cut the lead to 14-8. Bonaventure went on a 14-0 run in response to make the score 28-8. Lehigh continued to show fight though, as Kristen Dalton and Williams earned the Mountain Hawks seven-straight points to make the 28-15. However, St. Bonaventure scored 11 of the last 15 points of the half to go into the locker room with a 39-22 lead.

Dalton opened the half with a three pointer to cut the Bonnie lead to 15. St. Bonaventure was too tough out of the gate again though, converting on three-point shots and made their shots at the free throw line, as Lehigh had five fouls in the first five minutes of the second half. The Bonnies had a 52-27 lead at the 14:52 media timeout and would never look back.

For the game Lehigh shot 30.8 percent from the field and 25 percent from the three-point arc. The Mountain Hawks, who have been strong inside the point all season, tied the Bonnies with 22 total points scored in the paint. St. Bonaventure won the battle of the boards 42-32 and held Lehigh to just two fast break points.

Lehigh finishes the 2010-11 season with 20 wins, the third-straight season that has been accomplished and the first time the program has achieved the particular feat. Lehigh will also be graduating four seniors in Erica Prosser, Courtney Dentler, Kristen Dalton and Kristen Iafolla, all of whom have had stellar careers.
