KISSIMMEE, Fla. – On its final day of action at the Rebel Spring Games the Lehigh softball team swept its first doubleheader of the season as the Mountain Hawks downed Sacred Heart 4-2 before rolling to a 9-1, five-inning win over Manhattan. With the sweep, Lehigh improves to 5-8 on the season. The Mountain Hawks went 5-3 in eight games in Florida.
In its first game of the day Lehigh had to come-from-behind to defeat a tough Sacred Heart team. The Pioneers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning on back-to-back RBI singles by Liz Tsipouras and Annie Dreher.
Lehigh tacked on another run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Potock. The Mountain Hawks out-hit the Pioneers 7-5 with Cueva and Fernandez picking up two hits apiece.

Manhattan scored its only run in the top of the third inning, but Lehigh responded with four runs in the bottom of the frame. Freshman Lizzy Odren brought home junior Hana Harrison with a one-out RBI single, before Potock followed up with her first home run of the season, a three-run blast to left center, which put the Brown and White up 6-1.
Junior Liz Lucas extended Lehigh's lead with an RBI double in the sixth inning, and then brought home the game-ending runs with a bases-loaded two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning. Lucas was an incredible 10-of-23 at the plate in eight games in Florida with six doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI.
