Rainy first day complete at Hoya Invite

BEALLSVILLE, Md. – Lehigh opened action at the 2010 Hoya Invite on a soggy Monday at The Members Club at Four Streams. Due to rain in the area the teams played only 18 holes rather than 36, which were originally scheduled. Following one day of competition the Brown and White is in 16th place in the 17-school field with a team score of 344. Freshman Rosie Davies is tied for 46th place individually to lead Lehigh after she shot an 83 on the day. Nova Southeastern currently leads in the team standings after shooting a 303, with Maryland and Yale tied for second with identical scores of 308, Campbell in fourth with a 309 and Rollins sitting in fifth with a 314.
Other Mountain Hawks that competed on Monday were Ginette Schapira who shot an 84 and is tied for 52nd place, Livia Amado (T-75th) who shot an 88, Chelsea Michalek who is tied for 79th with an 89 and Natalie Lansing who shot a 103.
Sandra Changkija of Nova Southeastern is in first place individually after she shot a 72 on Monday and she is being chased by Jessie Hollandsworth of Maryland (73) and Rutgers’ Jeanne Water (74).
Action will conclude on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 when the teams play their final round of 18 holes.
