West Hartford , CT St. John’s set the pace with a 340, followed by host Hartford with a 345 and Siena Long Island after Monday’s play at the par-73 Wampanoag Golf Club.
Lehigh’s strong start is thanks to the play of the talented freshmen who are getting a chance to shine as the women’s golf team has a pair of events early this week. Alison Webb is tied for 2nd in the individual standings with an 81 after a sharp 37 on the back nine and is only one stroke behind Jennifer Rhee of St. John’s
After Rhee, three players are tied for second place, including Webb. Brenna Gibson of Boston University and Leah Steinmiller of Central Connecticut State
The other Lehigh squad took the top spot at the one-day Muhlenberg Spring Classic. The Hartford Women’s Invitational continues Tuesday.
