The Scholar-Athlete Award goes to the student-athlete who in the eyes of his/her teammates exemplifies the ideal of the scholar-athlete. This year’s winner was senior co-captain Danielle Kochenour, who has posted a 3.61 grade point average as an industrial engineering and architecture major. Kochenour has also led the team on the links, serving as a captain in each of the program’s three varsity seasons. Freshman Kassia Nelson won the Coaches Award at the banquet, which is presented to the individual who made significant contributions to the well being of the team in terms of attitude, improvement, or special leadership. Nelson continually helped lead the Mountain Hawks both statistically as well as with her strong work ethic.
Sophomore Sarah March captured the Athlete of the Year Award, which is presented to the team member who makes the most outstanding athletic contribution to the accomplishments of the team. March paced the team in several tournaments over the course of the season, consistently ranking among the team’s top performers.
