Lehigh plays host to record field at Don Mershon

Telford, PA – Lehigh played host to the first round of the 11th annual Don Mershon Classic on Sunday at Indian Valley Country Club. Through the day’s events, the Mountain Hawks find themselves in ninth place in the record nine team field. Hofstra leads the way with a team score of 345, just three strokes ahead of second place Siena.
Lehigh was led by freshman Kassia Nelson, who shot a 93 on the day. Sophomore Sarah March posted a 95, Moriah Britt a 99, and Ashley DeBarba a 107 to round out the Lehigh scoring. Kutztown’s Holly Shubilla and McDaniel’s Kelly Cramp are the individual leaders through 18 holes, after they each shot an 82 on Sunday.
The Don Mershon Classic resumes on Monday morning, with 18 additional holes of play beginning at 9 am.Team Scores
