Women end season with second place finish

Kutztown, PA – Lehigh shot a collective 378 as the Mountain Hawks finished second at the Kutztown Spring Invitational held at Berkleigh Country Club on Friday. Sophomore co-captain Alexis Foucek finished tied for third place with teammate Sarah March. Both golfers shot a 93 on the afternoon.
In addition to their 93, freshman Ashley Fitzgerald played well, shooting a 94 to finish fifth. Danielle Kochenour and Moriah Britt (99) rounded out the Lehigh scoring. Kutztown’s Laura Boyko won the event by shooting a six-over-par 80. Her team took the collective title as well, as Kutztown shot a 373 to top Lehigh by a mere five strokes.
With the completion of the Kutztown Spring Invitational, Lehigh’s season is now finished. With no graduating seniors on the team, all Lehigh women’s golfers will return next season.
