Luebbe named Academic All-American

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Andrea Luebbe has been honored for her accomplishments in the classroom and on the track and trail, by being named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American women’s track and field/cross country University Division Second Team, it was announced on Thursday.  Voting is done by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). 

 

Sporting a perfect 4.00 GPA, Luebbe is a two time All-Patriot League selection in cross country, including this past season, where she finished seventh at the league championships.  She crossed in 22nd place at the prestigious Iona Meet of Champions in 2005, finished in the top-51 in each of the last two cross country regional meets and won the Lehigh-Lafayette dual meet in both 2003 and 2005.  Luebbe is also an All-League honoree in outdoor track, which she garnered in 2005, and was the overall champion in the 1,500-meters at the 2005 Lehigh Valley Outdoor Championships.  At the 2004 Patriot League Outdoor Championships, Luebbe placed in the top-five of the 10,000-meters and posted a top-ten finish in the 5,000-meters.  

 

Luebbe is also a multi-year member of both the Dean’s List and the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
