Men second, women third after day two at Navy

On the men’s side, senior Vaclav Malek concluded action in the heptathlon with a second place finish racking up 4809 points, and giving the Brown and White eight team points. Teammate Cody Smart scored four points for Lehigh with a second place finish in the high jump, clearing 6’7” in the process, while Rob Hampson finished in second place in the 5000-meters, crossing in a time of 14:41.70, good for eight more team points. The 4x800-meter relay team of Brian Ahearn, Greg Horn, Kyle Manning and Dave Merola raced their way to a fourth place finish with a time of 7:43.61.
For the women, junior Jen Schappert crossed in a time of 17:22.99 in the 5000-meters, good for second place and eight team points, while the 4x800-meter relay team of Karen Welby, Tracie Fails, Jen Therkorn and Eleni Sarigianis came in fifth place, and picked up two team points.
