Lehigh to compete in ECAC/IC4A Championships

Lehigh will send 13 athletes to compete in the championships, spanning two days in
The two relay teams will compete in preliminary heats on Saturday, and can race on Sunday if they qualify for the finals. Alex Neville, Shannon Alejandro, Jen Therkorn and Sara Serwo make up the 4X800 women’s team, which set a new Patriot League record in
The five individual competitors from Lehigh will all see their first action on Sunday. Wetzel will be the only track athlete, competing in the 5K. Lehigh will have four field competitors with Schuck competing in the heptathlon, Ray in the shot put, Uqdah in the pole vault and Johnson in the triple jump.
Keep an eye on…
The 4X800 relay: Therkorn and Serwo decided not to compete individually in order to focus on the relay this weekend. The seniors hope that focus will give them a chance at beating last year’s fourth-place finish.
Khalil Uqdah: The junior pole vaulter won the Patriot League Championship after not competing in a month due to injury. After a taste of competition two weeks ago, he could make a bigger splash this weekend.
Jon Wetzel: The senior distance runner finished in the top three in both the 3K and 5K at the Patriot League championships. He’s only running the 5K in
