Mountain Hawks finish 4th and 6th at PLC

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Lehigh finished its final day of competition at the 2008 Patriot League Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Navy, and the men registered a fourth place finish, while the women claimed sixth. Navy won the title on the men’s side, scoring 199 points, while on the women’s side Army edged out Bucknell by two points.
The Mountain Hawks had two first place finishes on the day, one by Sarah Serwo and one by Shannon Alejandro. Serwo won the 800 meter dash, with a time of 2:12.21, while Alejandro took first in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:38.17. Latasha Watson also had a second place finish for the women, running the 400 meter dash in 57.22 seconds.
On the men’s side, Kyle Manning earned a third place finish in the 800 meter dash with a time of 1:50.86, which qualified him for the IC4A’s. Scott Robinson also had a third place finish, running the 400 meter hurdles in 53.85 seconds, an IC4A qualifying time. In the men’s field events, Franklin Johnson earned a fifth place finish with an IC4A qualifying jump of 14.79 meters.
