“On the men’s side, it was certainly a meet we would have liked to have won, said Lehigh head coach Rob Herb. “Guys on the team have more to give; it’s just a matter of getting it out of them. The women continue to troop along, they are a tough group moving forward. As we recover and look forward to our next meets, I’m sure we are about to see the best this has to offer.”
The Mountain Hawk men captured wins in five of the 17 events contested. Seniors Jon Kearney, Mike Hay and Clark Cohen all made significant contributions.
On the women’s side, Herb credited the efforts of sophomore Allison Rolish in the 1000 free; freshman Lauren Kindrick in the 1000 and 500 free and sophomore Julie Sicherman in the 100 fly. Rolish and Kindrick finished 2-3 in the 1000 free, with Rolish turning in a time of 10:44.27 and Kindrick finishing six seconds behind. Kindrick added a second place finish in the 500, while Sicherman took second in the 100 fly with a time of 59.87 seconds. Sophomore Melanie Rolish also added second place finishes in the 100 and 200 yard breast events.
Lehigh’s women will have a short turnaround as the Mountain Hawks will host
