Men picked fourth, women sixth in preseason poll

On the men’s side, Lehigh garnered 59 points and were picked to finish in the same spot the Mountain Hawks finished at the Patriot League championships. The Mountain Hawk men are led by a pair of returning all-league selections in senior co-captain Tom Gilbert and junior Jonathan
The Lehigh women earned 42 points and were slotted one spot higher than where they finished at last season’s championships. On the women’s side, the Mountain Hawks also return two all-league performers in seniors Betsy Balaguer and Julie Mitchell.
Navy was selected to win both the men’s and women’s championships. The Midshipmen are the defending men’s champions and earned 14 out of a possible 16 votes. The women’s vote was much closer with Navy (seven votes) edging out Colgate (six) and defending champion Bucknell (three).
