Flothmeier wins individual title for LU in Annapolis

In other men’s action, junior Tom Gilbert qualified for two finals, placing third in the 100 yard back with a time of 50.74 and sixth in the 100 fly finishing with a time of 50.79. Senior Sean Herman finished fourth in the 200 free with a time of 1:40.92 and freshman Dan Johnson placed eighth in the same event with a time of 1:43.29. Senior Sean English finished eighth in the 100 breast, the less than two seconds behind Flothmeier. Sophomore Clark Cohen placed eighth in the one meter dive with 254.30 points. The Mountain Hawks also placed third in both relay events contested Friday night.
The Lehigh women were led by senior Linda Hendrixson and junior Julie Mitchell. Hendrixson took fourth in the 400 IM, while Mitchell finished fourth in the 100 yard backstroke, touching the wall in 58.86. Junior Betsy Balaguer placed sixth in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing in 1:55.21. The Mountain Hawk women also placed fifth in the 800 yard free relay and sixth in the 200 medley relay.
