Lehigh and Lafayette set to face off in the pool

“The rivalry continues,” said second year Lehigh head coach Rob Herb. “The men are going for their 15th straight win, and we are going in with our “A” game.”
The Mountain Hawk men sit at 1-3 after falling to Penn and Rider over the weekend. Lehigh has gotten strong performances from sophomore Jonathan Kearney, who has been strong in the distance events as well as the 200 yard fly. Senior co-captains Grant Flothmeier and Jason O”Koren have also been strong in the pool for Lehigh. Sophomore Clark Cohen has paced Lehigh men in diving. The former Patriot League diver of the week and has won four diving events already this season.
The Lehigh women are still looking for their first victory of the season, but the Mountain Hawks will surely bring their best for
“We need to take every opportunity to get to the wall as quickly as possible,” says Herb. “We will take every risk, take every chance and we’ll see how things go. You never know what is going to happen.”
Both the Leopard men and women stand at 0-3 on the season with losses to Patriot League foes Army, Bucknell and Navy.
Friday night’s meet gets underway with the diving events at 5:00 from Lehigh’s Jacobs Pool, located inside Taylor Gym. The swimming events will begin at 7:00.
