Mountain Hawks place nine on All-League teams

Leading the way for the Mountain Hawks were a pair of individual Patriot League Champions. Senior Ross Green won the 100 yard butterfly, his second individual gold medal in as many years, as he was named to the first team for the second consecutive year. Freshman Jonathan Kearney garnered first team honors after winning the 1650 yard freestyle. Chris Caywood finished second to
Second team selections for the Brown and White included junior Grant Flothmeier, who placed second in the 100 yard breaststroke, senior Joey Beagen and sophomore Tom Gilbert. Green, Flothmeier, Gilbert and Jess Dudley took first place in the 400 medley relay.
On the women’s side, Lehigh picked up three All-League honors. Junior Linda Hendrixson was named to the first team for the third consecutive year. Hendrixson placed third in three different events at the Patriot League Championships. Sophomore Betsy Balaguer received her first All-League recognition after placing top-five in several events and scoring 44 points. Sophomore Julie Mitchell placed second in both backstroke events and her 41 points were also enough for first-team recognition.
The Mountain Hawks had a strong team showing at the Patriot League Championships. The men placed third while the women placed fifth. Both team champions were well represented on the All-League teams. Men’s champion Navy had eight first team selections, while women’s champion Bucknell had six named to the first team.
