Mountain Hawks earn split with La Salle in Philadelphia

The Lehigh women were very impressive, sweeping all 13 events in the meet. Individually, sophomore Betsy Balaguer won three events, the 200, 500 and 1000 yard freestyles. Junior Linda Hendrixson won a pair of events, the 200 yard IM and the 200 yard breaststroke, while classmate Laura Gray swept the one and three meter diving events.
The Mountain Hawk men were only able to take two events. Grant Flothmeier took first place in the 200 yard breaststroke, then teamed with Tom Gilbert, Ross Green and Dan Buschmann to take first in the 400 yard medley relay.
Lehigh has one more meet before the Patriot League Championships. The Mountain Hawks will visit Bucknell next Saturday. The meet is set to get underway at 1:00 from Lewisburg.
