Marshall to direct Lehigh Alumni Association

Christopher V. Marshall, head coach of the successful men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs at Lehigh University, has been named executive director of the In his new role, Marshall will be responsible for the strategic management of the alumni association, embracing technology and establishing distinctive programs aimed at strengthening relationships between the university and its more than 62,000 alumni around the world. Marshall was selected from a strong pool of internal and external candidates following a six-month national search. "I’m excited by the opportunity to lead the Lehigh University Alumni Association and honored to be able to work with President Farrington and the LUAA board to shape the association’s vision for the future," said Marshall. "It was a difficult decision for me to leave my role as head swim coach as there are so many outstanding athletes and coaches involved in the program. But I believe I can make a greater contribution to the university and have a positive impact as executive director of the alumni association." Chris is truly a "son" of Lehigh having graduated from Lehigh with a degree in architecture in 1988. We are confident that he has the skills, the passion and focused enthusiasm to lead the alumni association into the future, as Lehigh seeks to Marshall worked diligently to ensure his athletes had positive academic and athletic experiences at Lehigh and has consistently earned high praise from graduating athletes. In his role as coach, Marshall initiated an alumni relations program in 1989 that has been successful in engaging and energizing former swimmers, building a base of more than 1,000 loyal and involved alumni.
