Day two championship action complete

Lewisburg, PA – After two days of Patriot League Swimming & Diving Championship action, the Lehigh men are in second place with a total of 416.5 points, just 34.5 points behind leader Bucknell. On the women’s side, Lehigh is a solid third place with a point total of 366, 22 behind second place Navy. Bucknell leads with 558.5 points. After day one action, where six school records fell, Lehigh returned to the pool and broke four more school records with another strong showing, placing within the top five on 12 separate occasions, including two second place finishes. The school records fell in men's and women's 200-yard medley, the men's 400-yard IM, and the men's 100-yard breast. Ian Gillen took second in the men’s 100-yard backstroke with a time of :51.63 in the prelims and :51.19 in the finals. Also posting a second place finish was the foursome of Dan Buschmann, Brian Golebiewski, Sean Herman, and Bing Padmasankha posting a time of 6:22.55. The women posted a strong second day, picking up ten top five finishes, including an afternoon best two third place finishes by freshman Linda Hendrixson and third third place finish for Hendrixson in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
