Lehigh splits in final dual of the season

Poughkeepsie, NY – Lehigh’s swimming & diving teams split a dual meet Saturday afternoon with Marist. The women were victorious 158-85 and the men were defeated 157-86. With the win the women improve to 6-6 overall, while the men fall to 6-5. The meet was the final dual of the 2002-03 season for the Mountain Hawks. Individual competitors will now turn their attention towards the Patriot League Championships, which will take place February 20-22 at Bucknell University. The women jumped out to an early lead, winning the 400-yard medley relay. The foursome of Caitlin Fiedler, Linda Hendrixson, Linsey Kokal, and Missy Capone won with a time of 4:06.28. The Mountain Hawks would go out to win eight more events en route to their second straight victory. On the men’s side, Lehigh again captured the opening event. Ian Gillen, Ross Green, Grant Flothmeier, and Jake Fletcher picked up a win in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:33.11.
