Swim squads first through four events

Newark, DE- Lehigh University took the team lead for both the men and women but it was the University of Delaware women's individuals who excelled on the first day of the Delaware Swimming and Diving Invitational Friday night at Rawstrom Pool.

Lehigh used depth to take first place on the women's side with 222 points followed by Delaware (220) and La Salle (172) in the three-team meet. On the men's side, the Mountain Hawk men totaled 244 points to take first place ahead of La Salle (188) and Delaware (182).
