Lehigh-Lafayette help jumpstart weekend

Bethlehem, PA- The Lehigh swimming & diving teams return to the water this weekend to face rival Lafayette. The meet will serve as one of many events that encompass the Lehigh-Lafayette weekend. The Lehigh men enter the weekend with a 3-1 overall record and are 1-0 in Patriot League competition. Recent victories over Rider, Colgate, and The College of New Jersey have propelled the league’s preseason favorite a top the league standings. Lafayette’s men are 2-1 on the season, having picked up victories over Drexel and St. Peters, while falling to Rider, a team Lehigh most recently defeated. The Lehigh women have struggled early, entering the weekend with a 2-3 overall record, 0-2 in league meets. The Mountain Hawks have fallen to West Chester, Colgate, and Navy, while picking up wins over Rider and The College of New Jersey. Lafayette’s women’s have managed a .500 record this season, picking up wins over Drexel and St. Peters, while falling to Navy and Rider.
