Five named to the 2002 all-league team

Lehigh had five swimmers named to the 2002 All-Patriot League Swimming and Diving Team. Sophomore Brian Golbeiewski, juniors Bing Padmasankha and Ian Gillen received spots on the men's all-league team. On the women's side senior Lauren Ayres and freshman Amanda Warrick earned Patriot League honors. Golebiewski finished first in the 1650 freestyle to earn a spot on the all-league team for the second straight year. Padmasankha finished first in the 100 freestyle, making him an all-league member since his freshman year. Ian Gillen also earned his third consecutive spot on the all league team. Ayres took first in the 500 freestyle and leaves Lehigh as a four-time all-league selection and a member of the League's all decade team. Ayres placed second in the 1650-yard freestyle and broke her own school record with a time of 17:13.44. Ayres also owns the school record in the 500 yard freestyle and 1000 yard freestyle. The senior is also a member of the 200 yard and 800 yard freestyle relay teams that hold records. Warrick received her first Patriot League honors being a member of the record breaking relay team as well as recording fourth and fifth place finishes.
