The comeback wins over Army and Colgate were due in large part to the Mountain Hawks defensive effort in the second half. Lehigh held the two teams to 31 percent shooting (20-65) and a total of 53 points (26.5 per) in the second halves. The 21 points scored by Army were the fewest by a Lehigh opponent in the second half since last season’s overtime win at Colgate.
Lehigh pays tribute to longtime public address announcer Bill McCoach along with the 1988 East Coast Conference Championship team on Saturday evening. McCoach has not missed a single LU hoops game (men or women) for 20 straight seasons.
