Assistant coach Cody Savitsky is in her first year as the assistant field hockey coach at Lehigh.

Savitsky, formerly Cody Hunsicker, most recently concluded a stint as an assistant coach at Kent State University from May 2022 to February 2024. Savitsky was the interim head coach for the Golden Flashes from February until joining the Mountain Hawks in May. As an assistant and interim head coach, Savitsky assisted the head coach in creating and implementing effective practice plans and game strategies, recruiting, breaking down team and opponent film and supporting student-athletes in their personal, academic and athletic development.

Prior to Kent State, Savitsky coached under Lehigh head coach Kelsi Lykens at the University of New Haven from August 2020 to May 2022. Her responsibilities under Lykens included assisting in creating technical and tactical practice plans and weekly schedules, supervising academic progress of student-athletes in bi-weekly meetings and conducting study halls throughout the week, team film along with assisting with camps and recruiting.

From August 2018 to June 2020, Savitsky was an assistant coach for Division III program Washington College. She was tasked with assisting in creating practice plans to ensure tactical and technical goals were met, coordinating the defensive penalty corner unit, including planning and in game management, team film sessions and managing recruiting.

Savitsky has club coaching experience with both the HTC Field Hockey Club in Connecticut and SPark Field Hockey in Maryland.

Savitsky graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2018 from Lafayette where she was a member of the field hockey team. In her career on College Hill, she was a team captain and second team All-Patriot League honoree. In 2022, she earned her Master of Science in Sports Management from New Haven.

Savitsky and her spouse Nick Savitsky were recently married.
