?Cody Savitsky enters her second season as the assistant coach of the Lehigh field hockey program.
?The former Cody Hunsicker, Savitsky was an assistant coach at Kent State University from May 2022 to February 2024. She served as interim head coach for the Golden Flashes from February 2024 until joining the Mountain Hawks in May 2024. Savitsky assisted the head coach in creating and implementing effective practice plans and game strategies, recruiting, breaking down team and opponent film, and supporting athletes in their personal, academic, and athletic development.

Prior to Kent State, Savitsky coached under Lehigh head coach Kelsi Lykens at the University of New Haven from August 2020 to May 2022. Her responsibilities under Lykens included assisting in creating technical and tactical practice plans and weekly schedules, supervising the academic progress of student-athletes in bi-weekly meetings, conducting study halls throughout the week, team film, and assisting with camps and recruiting.

From August 2018 to June 2020, Savitsky was an assistant coach for the Division III program at Washington College. She was tasked with assisting in creating practice plans to ensure tactical and technical goals were met, coordinating the defensive penalty corner unit, including planning and in-game management, team film sessions, and managing recruiting.

In addition to her roles as assistant coach on a collegiate level, Savitsky also had club coaching experience with HTC Field Hockey Club in Connecticut and SPark Field Hockey in Maryland.

Savitsky graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Lafayette College, where she also played field hockey. She was a team captain and a Second Team All-Patriot League honoree. She earned her Master of Science in Sports Management from New Haven in 2022.

She currently resides with her spouse, Nick Savitsky.
