WHY LEHIGH?
I wanted to go to a school that had a competitive volleyball program at the Division I level as well as outstanding academics.
2017 (SENIOR SEASON)
Saw action in 28 matches, including 14 starts…ranked fourth on the team with 32 total blocks and 27 block assists…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll…her .239 career hitting percentage ranks 11th all-time in program history.
2016 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Saw action in 30 games, starting 27 of them… finished the season with 203 kills and 65 blocks… recorded nine kills with no errors in 12 total attempts for a .750 hitting percentage against Farleigh Dickinson (9/3)… recorded a season-best seven total blocks against Bucknell (10/28)… named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2015 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Saw action in 30 matches…finished the season with 73 kills and 53 total blocks…recorded eight kills with no errors in 11 total attempts for a .727 hitting percentage against Fordham (10/13)…recorded a season-best five total blocks against Morehead State (9/5) and Bucknell (10/2)…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2014 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Put together a strong freshman campaign, seeing action in 21 matches and 43 sets…finished tied for third on the team with 41 total blocks…recorded five total blocks in a 3-0 win at George Mason (9/5) and spiked a career-best five kills against William and Mary (9/6)…earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 8…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
BEFORE LEHIGH
An accomplished middle blocker, Bennett comes to Lehigh from Plano, Texas. She was a member of a gold medal winning squad at the 2013 Junior Olympics National Division and an All-District middle blocker out of Plano West Senior High School. She also played for the Victory Volleyball Club and was awarded the Best Offensive Player and Outstanding Character and Leadership honors. Just as strong in the classroom, she was named Academic All-Region in 2012 and was a member of National Honor Society.
