Demeitre Brim
Demeitre Brim begins his second season as defensive line coach on the Mountain Hawks’ staff.

Brim’s first season was highlighted by fifth-year Dean Colton earning second team All-Patriot League honors. The Mountain Hawks ranked second in the Patriot League with 21 sacks, 15 of which came from the defensive line. Matt Spatny led the way with five, while Colton chipped in three.

Brim came to Lehigh following five seasons on staff at the University of Nebraska, where he began as a graduate assistant working with the inside linebackers before moving up to a defensive analyst and eventually, a defensive quality control coach.

One of Brim’s primary assignments was assisting inside linebackers coach Barrett Ruud. Brim played for Ruud and former Nebraska head coach Scott Frost as a student-athlete at UCF.

Brim helped Nebraska’s Dedrick Young II set a career high in tackles in 2018 as Young concluded his career as one of the top five tacklers in Nebraska history. He also helped Mo Barry to a pair of All-Big Ten honors. In 2021, Nebraska’s top two tacklers were both underclassmen linebackers.

As a student-athlete, Brim began his college career at Virginia before moving on to UCF where he was a two-year letterwinner at middle linebacker, starting 12 games as a senior in 2016 when the Knights made a bowl game in Frost's first season. He was named UCF Football’s Defensive MVP and the program’s Lifter of the Year in 2016. He also served on the UCF Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Leadership Board for Student-Athletes.

Brim earned his bachelor's degree from UCF in 2016 with an interdisciplinary studies degree in education and sociology, and added a master’s degree in higher education administration from Nebraska in 2020.
