Player Profile: As a freshman… won eleven singles matches seeing action at three flights… did his best work at No. 3 singles where he posted 8-4 record… amassed 4-6 record in doubles competition… earned team’s Scholar-Athlete award… in secondary school… ranked fifth among Latvian junior players…currently ranked No. 23 among all Latvian players (rated as high as No. 21 previously)… enjoyed several national second and third place finishes in doubles…won Under-18 Latvian championship in 2006…
