In 2008-09: Moved up to 133 and qualified for NCAA tournament for third time… placed third at the EIWA Championships… half of his 26 victories produced bonus points… tied for team lead with seven wins by major decision… was ranked in the top-20 nationally for most of the season… posted impressive victories over Kent State’s Dan Mitcheff and Central Michigan’s Conor Beebe at Virginia Duals.
In 2007-08: Deferred eligibility while moving up to 133… went 12-1 competing unattached in open tournaments… won titles at the East Stroudsburg and Kent State Opens… suffered only loss at Wilkes Open, but wrestled back to place third… placed fifth at University Freestyle Nationals and third at Northeast Senior Freestyle tournament… finished fourth at University World Team Trials.
In 2006-07: Qualified for second straight NCAA tournament despite missing first half of season due to injury… led team with 19 bonus wins, including 12 falls… 25 victories ranked third on the team… tied for seventh in single-season falls at Lehigh… won all three bouts by fall at Sun Devil Duals (1/7)… had streak of seven consecutive bonus in January… captured Sheridan Award for most falls in the quickest time in the championship bracket of the EIWA tournament.
In 2005-06: EIWA runner-up at 125 pounds… went 3-2 in first NCAA appearance… first true freshman NCAA qualifier for Greg Strobel and first at Lehigh since Rick Hepp in 1992… bounced back from several tough early season tests, going 14-6 after Jan. 1… valiantly outscored Brad Pataky of Penn State 13-9 to win first varsity dual one day after nasal surgery.
In secondary school: 175-9 career record with 117 falls… broke 21 year old state record for career wins… second most falls in Pennsylvania history… 44-0 with 34 falls as a senior… two time state champion (125 in ’05, 119 in ’04)… placed third at 2004 junior national freestyle… took second in 2002 cadet freestyle… became eighth recruit in Lehigh history to win two Pennsylvania state championships.
Personal: Son of Walter and Kathy Fisk… brother Josh (25) wrestled at Lock Haven… enjoys hunting and fishing.
