Stoller Completes Comeback In 4-3 Win Over Sacred Heart

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Lehigh men's tennis remained undefeated with a 4-3 victory over the Sacred Heart Pioneers on the road on Saturday evening. First-year Henry Stoller completed a Mountain Hawk comeback with a three-set thriller to clinch the victory.

Lehigh (3-0) found itself in an early hole after dropping the opening doubles point to Sacred Heart (0-5). Graduate student Sean Jaeger and junior Alex Van Lumich defeated their opponents 6-4 at number one, but the Pioneers found wins at numbers two and three to start the match up 1-0.

The Pioneers claimed the first singles point of the night by way of a two-set victory from Darren Huang at number three. The Mountain Hawks got on the board with a two-setter from Van Lumich at number two, but a three-set loss at number one for Jaeger put Sacred Heart only one win away with a 3-1 lead.

Senior Jackson Morash got the comeback effort started by picking up a 6-4, 6-1 win at number six. First-year Kosei Ogata then tied the match up at 3-3 after besting his opponent 7-5, 7-6 at number four. First-year Henry Stoller fell 7-6 in the first set of his singles bout at number five and needed to win the final two sets to keep his team's chances alive. Stoller clutched up, winning set two 6-4 and set three 6-4 to secure the comeback win for Lehigh.

The Mountain Hawks will face Saint Joseph's on Friday, February 20 at 9 a.m. in Philadelphia.
