Lehigh to Open Fall Season at BC's Red Bandanna Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team is set to open its fall campaign this weekend at the Red Bandanna Invitational, hosted by Boston College, Sunday-Monday at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y. The tournament will be the first of five fall events for the Mountain Hawks, with three over the next four weekends and then two more in October.

The Lehigh roster includes a fifth-year, four seniors, two juniors, two sophomores and two first-years.

Senior Jake Roth earned second team All-Patriot League honors after tying for 10th place at the Patriot League Championship. Roth had a 73.41 scoring average last year, trailing only classmate Aiden LeBlanc (73.25) for top honors on the Mountain Hawks. Paulius Malcius and Will Caronchi are the other seniors on the roster.

The two newcomers are Ryan Cronin from Minnesota and Drew Golden from Massachusetts.

The field for the Red Bandanna includes Boston College, Cornell, La Salle, Lehigh, Manhattan, Maryland Eastern Shore, Merrimack, Sacred Heart, Saint Francis and South Dakota.

The tournament is set for 54 holes, with 36 Sunday and 18 Monday on the par 72, 7,105 Kaluhyat Course at Turning Stone. Action begins at 8 a.m. both days.

Lehigh's lineup will feature sophomore Noah Zyung, junior Matt Quinn, junior Charles Schrohe, sophomore Luke Block and Caronchi. Cronin will compete as an individual. The Mountain Hawks will play with La Salle and Manhattan for the first two rounds.

The fall concludes when the Mountain Hawks host the Lehigh Invitational Oct. 25-26 on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
