Lehigh Wraps Up Play at ECU Ironwood Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Four players carded rounds in the 70s Tuesday as the Lehigh women's golf team finished up action at the ECU Ironwood Invitational at Ironwood Golf and Country Club. The Mountain Hawks shot 309 Tuesday to finish the two-day, 54-hole tournament at 943 (316-318-309). Lehigh finished 14th in a 16-team field.

First-year Reese Hannon carded the low round of the tournament for the Mountain Hawks with a final-round 74 and was Lehigh's low finisher, tying for 42nd place at 232 (80-78-74). Hannon's final round included 14 pars, one birdie and three bogeys.

Junior Yuki Zhu tied for 59th place at 235 (76-80-79). Zhu carded one birdie in her final round. Also tying for 59th was senior Madison Pineda, who shot 80-78-77 with a pair of birdies in Tuesday's round.

First-year Alana Hall made a team-leading three birdies Tuesday and finished in a tie for 81st place at 243 (80-84-79).

Sophomore Bella Scanapicco finished in 89th place at 260 (88-82-90). Competing as an individual, senior Olivia Lu finished in 90th place at 263 (90-89-84).

Virginia Tech captured the team title at 875 (294-289-292), six strokes better than host and runner-up East Carolina.

NC State's Marie Madsen was the individual medalist at six under par 210 (70-71-69). Madsen beat Virginia Tech's Morgan Ketchum by three strokes.

Lehigh will next play in the Rutgers Invitational, Apr. 5-6 in Piscataway, N.J.
