Lehigh Completes First 36 Holes At Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Lehigh women's golf team bounced back from a rough 332 in the morning to shoot 317 in the afternoon Saturday at the Rutgers Invitational on the Rutgers University Golf Course. Three players broke 80 in Saturday's second round with Lehigh's total of 649 good for 15th place in a 17-team field.
 
First-year Alana Hall led Lehigh on Saturday with rounds of 80 and 77 to sit in a tie for 30th place at 157. Hall made one birdie in her opening round and then had 12 pars and six bogeys in her afternoon round.
 
Senior Madison Pineda is tied for 44th place at 160 (81-79). Pineda made one birdie Saturday in her final hole of round one.
 
First-year Reese Hannon bounced back nicely after an opening round 88, shooting 75 in the afternoon to be tied for 57th place at 163. Hannon had one birdie in round two, to go along with 12 pars.
 
Sophomore Bella Scanapicco is tied for 78th place at 169 (83-86).
 
The Mountain Hawks had to play without junior Yuki Zhu who was a late scratch Saturday.
 
Host Rutgers owns the team lead at 591 (298-293) with the Scarlet Knights leading second place Quinnipiac by 21 strokes.
 
Rutgers' Emily James and Grace Lu are tied for the individual lead at four over par 146.
 
The Rutgers Invitational concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes from the Rutgers University Golf Course.
