Mountain Hawks Complete First 36 Holes at ECU Ironwood Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. –  The Lehigh women's golf team opened action at ECU's Ironwood Invitational with rounds of 316 and 318 Monday at Ironwood Golf and Country Club. Junior Yuki Zhu led the way for Lehigh, which sits in 14th place out of 16 teams with a score of 634.

Zhu carded rounds of 76 and 80 and sits in a tie for 50th place at 156. She carded three birdies in her opening round 76.

Senior Madison Pineda and first-year Reese Hannon are tied for 62nd place at 158. Both players posted identical 80-76 score lines Monday. Pineda made one birdie in her second round, While Hannon carded one birdie in her opening round and two in the afternoon.

First-year Alana Hall finished day one at 164 (80-84) and sits in 84th place. Hall made one birdie in her afternoon round.

Sophomore Bella Scanapicco shot 88-82-170 and is tied for 89th place.

Competing as an individual, sophomore Olivia Lu shot 179 (90-89) and is in 94th place. Lu carded a birdie in her second round.

Virginia Tech shot 583 (294-289) to take the team lead by two strokes over host East Carolina.

Marie Madsen of NC State holds the individual lead at three under par 141, one stroke ahead of Virginia Tech's Morgan Ketchum.

The ECU Ironwood Invitational concludes Tuesday with the final 18 holes, beginning at 9 a.m.
