Edwards Lands on Academic All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh senior linebacker Brycen Edwards has been selected to the Academic All-Patriot League team for football, announced Wednesday. Edwards is the leading tackler for the Mountain Hawks in 2025 and one of Lehigh's top performers in the classroom.
The Fredericksburg, Va., native leads Lehigh with 83 tackles this season. Edwards added nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks this season. He opened the 2025 season with eight tackles in a win over Richmond and also had a career-high 13 tackles in Lehigh's win at Fordham in late October. Edwards also recorded a pair of sacks in Lehigh's win at Columbia on Oct. 10.
A double major in accounting and finance, Edwards holds a 3.34 cumulative GPA. In September, Edwards was named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, given to college football's top scholar-athlete. Edwards is a two-year member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and made Lehigh's Dean's List with a GPA better than 3.6 in the Fall 2024 semester.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor. The Academic All-Patriot League team for football has 14 student-athletes, and is voted on the league's sports information directors.

The Mountain Hawks are the No. 5 seed in the NCAA FCS Playoffs and will host a second round game at Goodman Stadium on Dec. 6 between the winner of Harvard and No. 12 Villanova with game time set for noon. Tickets can be purchased at LehighTickets.com.
