BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League champion Lehigh football team was well represented as the league announced its postseason football awards Tuesday. The Mountain Hawks placed 14 student-athletes on all-league teams and captured three of the league's four major awards.

Junior running back Luke Yoder was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year; senior linebacker Tyler Ochojski was named Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Kevin Cahill and his staff won the recently-rebranded Dick Biddle Coaching Staff of the Year award.

The Mountain Hawks completed a 12-0 regular season with a 42-32 victory over rival Lafayette on Saturday and captured their league-leading 14th Patriot League title in addition to the program's sixth undefeated regular season.

Yoder, Ochojski and Cahill were all also recently recognized as finalists for national FCS postseason awards. Cahill was also recognized Tuesday as the AFCA Region 1 Coach of the Year.

The All-Patriot League teams and major awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.

The first Lehigh player to win Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year since Dom Bragalone '19 in 2017, Yoder has rushed for 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while averaging an impressive 7.1 yards per carry. Yoder ranks sixth in the FCS in overall rushing yards and is coming off a career day at Lafayette where he rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on the way to game MVP honors.

Ochojski has been a defensive force for the Mountain Hawks all season long, with a team-best 12 tackles for loss and 10 sacks, leading a unit that leads the Patriot League and ranks fifth nationally in sacks. A two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, Ochojski ranks third on the Mountain Hawks with 56 tackles. He is Lehigh's first Defensive Player of the Year since linebacker Matt Cohen '10 won in 2009.

Cahill won Patriot League Coach of the Year in 2024 and captures this rebranded award in 2025. He has led Lehigh to back-to-back Patriot League titles and a 12-0 mark this season. Lehigh has won 17 consecutive regular season games, the longest active streak in the FCS.

Yoder and Ochojski are two of 12 first team All-Patriot League honorees for the Mountain Hawks.

Lehigh's other offensive first team honorees include sophomore quarterback Hayden Johnson, senior wide receiver Geoffrey Jamiel, junior tight end Joseph Marranca and senior offensive linemen Langston Jones and Aidan Palmer.

Defensively, joining Ochojski as first team selections are senior defensive linemen TJ Burke and Matt Spatny, junior cornerback Aidan Singleton and sophomore safety Mekhai Smith.

Sophomore Connor Poole also garnered first team recognition for his punting.

Lehigh's second team All-Patriot League honorees are sophomore running back Jaden Green and senior linebacker Brycen Edwards.

Offensively, Yoder, Green, Jamiel, Jones and Palmer earned all-league honors for the second consecutive season. Yoder, Green, Jamiel and Palmer earned second team laurels last year while Jones is now a two-time first team All-Patriot League selection.

Burke and Spatny are repeat first team honorees on defense. Ochojski, Singleton, Smith and Edwards all earned all-league accolades for the first time. Poole is also a first-time all-league pick.

On the offensive line, Jones and Palmer manned the two guard spots on a unit that paved the way for a rushing attack that leads the Patriot League and ranks fourth nationally, averaging 233.7 yards per game. Lehigh also has allowed the fourth fewest sacks in the FCS.

Johnson started all 12 games at quarterback for the Mountain Hawks, completing 62 percent of his passes for 2,349 yards and 18 touchdowns, compared to just six interceptions. He also rushed for 426 yards and four scores.

Jamiel has had the best statistical season of his career, catching 69 passes for 1,026 yards and eight touchdowns. He ranks sixth in the FCS in overall receiving yards.

Marranca has been lauded as a do-everything guy from his tight end position. An effective blocker in the run game. He has 11 catches for 91 yards this season.

Green continued to partner with Yoder to form a 1-2 punch in the backfield for the Mountain Hawks. He rushed for 811 yards and eight touchdowns, while averaging 6.5 yards per carry. Green and Yoder have combined for 2,140 of Lehigh's 2,804 team rushing yards in 2025.

Spatny and Burke made major contributions to a Lehigh defense that allows an FCS-low 73.7 rushing yards per game while leading the Patriot League with 40 sacks. The Patriot League's leader in sacks in 2024, Spatny posted eight in 10 games this season and contributed 12.5 tackles for loss. Burke posted 36 tackles, seven tackles for loss and four sacks from his nose tackle position.

In the secondary, Smith made 53 tackles to rank fourth on the team. He also picked off a pass in four of Lehigh's first five games. Singleton made 39 tackles, had eight pass breakups and picked off two passes, including a 26-yard interception return touchdown against Georgetown.

Edwards leads Lehigh with 83 tackles in 12 games, and has added nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

In his second season as Lehigh's punter, Poole is averaging 42.4 yards per punt over 41 kicks, with a long of 57 yards and 15 placed inside the opponents' 20-yard line. Poole has also taken over as Lehigh's placekicker the last three weeks, going 3-for-3 on field goals and 16-for-16 on extra points.

The Mountain Hawks will host a second round FCS playoff game on Saturday, Dec. 6 at noon against the winner of this weekend's Harvard-Villanova game. Tickets can be purchased at LehighTickets.com.
