
Cronin Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh first-year Ryan Cronin has been named Patriot League Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. Cronin shared medalist honors at last weekend's Lehigh Invitational, topping a field of 66 players at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Cronin finished the two-day, 36-hole event at two under par 142, with rounds of 73 and 69. On Sunday, Cronin shot a season-low three under par 69 to move into a three-way tie for first place with golfers from Evansville and FDU. Cronin totaled eight birdies at the Lehigh Invitational, including five in Sunday's final round. On the team side, Cronin and classmate Drew Golden led Lehigh's B team to a fifth-place finish.
The Eden Prairie, Minn., native played in all five tournaments for the Mountain Hawks this fall. He also finished second to Lehigh teammate Noah Zyung at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial in September. He is averaging 74.23 strokes over 13 rounds this fall.
The Lehigh Invitational concludes the Mountain Hawks' fall season. The Mountain Hawks will open their spring campaign in February.
