70th Annual Turkey Trot / Too Hot to Trot 2025
The 70th Annual Turkey Trot/Too Hot to Trot is scheduled to take place on campus Thursday, November 20st at 4:20 pm and will commence in front of Packer Chapel. This yearly tradition serves as the primary campus community "kick off" event held on the Thursday prior to the 161st Lehigh/Lafayette football game, famously known as "The Rivalry." Whether you choose to actively participate or simply observe, this unique event never fails to generate a sense of excitement, uniting our students, faculty, and staff in a fun and competitive atmosphere. It serves as a delightful prelude to the most historic college football rivalry in the country.
The Turkey Trot is a unique and exhilarating event that offers a one-of-a-kind experience. This fast-paced 2.5-mile run starts at the charming ASA Packer Campus and takes you on a journey up "The Hill," where you can admire the stunning scenery of the upper campus. As you make your way down the course, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking beauty of Bethlehem at the famous "Lookout" spot, which is a popular destination for photography enthusiasts all year round. This event allows participants to explore hidden corners of our campus that they may have never had the chance to discover before.
The Too Hot To Trot option offers a delightful 1.0-mile option for individuals who prefer a leisurely walk through the picturesque area of the lower Asa Packer Campus. It allows them to experience the thrill of tradition and the companionship of their fellow peers. The Too Hot To Trot will be lead by the Lehigh Labs this year!
Please register today on www.IMLeagues.com/lehigh with your LEHIGH.edu email address. Registration will run until Sunday, November 16th at 11pm. Race numbers can be picked up at the Taylor Gym office Monday, November 17th through Wednesday, November 19th from 10am to 7pm. No numbers will be available for pickup on race day. It is important to affix your number to the front of your garment in a visible manner. At the end of the event, please turn in your number. The first 500 participants to cross the finish line will receive a commemorative Turkey Trot gift.

*This annual event is only open to currently employed Lehigh University full-time faculty, staff, and students that have a valid Lehigh ID card. Retirees, spouses, and dependents are not permitted to participate in this annual intramural event.
