BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team will open the 2024-25 season at the same location where the Mountain Hawks ended last year's campaign. The Mountain Hawks will play in the three-day, 54-hole Bucknell Invitational, beginning Friday at the Bucknell Golf Club.
The event will be the first of four fall events for the Mountain Hawks, culminating in the Lehigh Invitational, Oct. 19-20 on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Head coach John Manos makes his debut with an eight-player roster that is led by three-time All-Patriot League performer Madison Pineda and two-time All-Patriot League honoree Yuki Zhu. The roster also includes senior Sophie Chang, sophomores Stefania Fedun, Olivia Lu and Bella Scanapicco and first-years Alana Hall and Reese Hannon.
At Bucknell, Lehigh's lineup will consist of Pineda, Fedun, Hannon, Zhu and Hall, with Lu competing as an individual.
Fourteen teams will contest the par-70, 5,901-yard course at the Bucknell Golf Club: UAlbany, Bryant, Bucknell, Duquesne, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Le Moyne, LIU, Penn, Saint Francis, Saint Joseph's, Towson and Wagner.
Tee times each day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with live scoring on Scoreboard. On Friday, Lehigh's scoring team will play with UAlbany and LIU with tee times beginning at 9:20 a.m.
Lehigh played in Bucknell's Fall Invitational last season and finished fourth out of 11 teams. Zhu tied for eighth place as Lehigh's No. 2 finisher.
Following the Bucknell Invitational, Lehigh will play in the Navy Fall Invitational, Sept. 28-29, and the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational, Oct. 5-6 in Delmar, N.Y., before wrapping up the fall at Saucon Valley.
Lehigh will also host the 2025 Patriot League Championship at Saucon Valley in April.
