Mountain Hawks Open Fall Season With First Round Of Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team opened its 2024 fall campaign Friday with round one of the Bucknell Fall Invitational at the Bucknell Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks turned in a solid round of 301 to sit in fourth place out of 13 teams, with 36 holes remaining over the next two days.

First-year Reese Hannon led the way for Lehigh carding a round of four over par 74 as she sits in a tie for eighth place. Hannon's first collegiate round included a pair of birdies.

One stroke behind Hannon is senior Madison Pineda, who is tied for 12th place after shooting 75. Pineda made three birdies in her round.

Sophomore Stefania Fedun and first-year Alana Hall both shot 76 and are part of a tie for 19th place. Both Fedun and Hall made one birdie in their opening rounds.

Junior Yuki Zhu is tied for 45th place after shooting 80 on Friday. She made one birdie in her opening round.

Competing as an individual, sophomore Olivia Lu is part of the tie for 19th place after shooting 76 with a birdie on the first hole.

Penn shot 295 Friday to take the team lead. The Quakers are followed by Bucknell (299), Towson (300) and then the Mountain Hawks.

Towson's Rayab Lee shot 71 to take the 18-hole lead by one stroke over UAlbany's Mia Cepeda and Penn's Debby Chang.

The Bucknell Invitational continues Saturday with round two with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
