Connell Earns Patriot League Rookie Of The Week After First Career Race

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – First-year Ben Connell has earned the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday morning.
Connell finished first amongst all first-year runners in the Lehigh Invite 6K, hosted on Lehigh's Goodman Campus. He finished 12th overall out of 92 finishing runners with a time of 18:54.2 in his first-ever collegiate race.
The Mountain Hawks finished in second place as a team at the event, being narrowly edged out by Saint Joseph's by one point. Lehigh finished ahead of Moravian, DeSales, NJIT and Muhlenberg in the team standings.
Lehigh will next race at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe at Penn State University on Friday, September 13.
