Etters Announces 2024 Men's Cross Country Schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's cross country head coach Todd Etters has announced the team's schedule ahead of the 2024 fall season. The Mountain Hawks will compete in six different races, including a newly formatted Paul Short Run, prior to the start of the postseason at the Patriot League Championships in November.
"Our 2024 schedule is challenging and balances out our traditional meets with some exposure to more national class competition," said Etters. "We are only hosting two meets, but expect the 50th anniversary of the Paul Short Run to be special."
The Mountain Hawks will open the 2024 campaign in their own backyard at the Lehigh Invite on August 30. The invite will be the only 6K race that Lehigh will compete in all season.
Next on the schedule for Lehigh is the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe on September 13, hosted by Penn State. This will be the team's opportunity to race at the site of this year's NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
On September 21, Lehigh will travel to Lafayette for the annual rivalry dual meet. The Mountain Hawks will look to extend their winning streak to 25 over the Leopards.
The 50th annual Paul Short Run is scheduled for October 4-5. This year's edition will be the first that will feature two separate days for the high school and collegiate races, with the latter happening on the 5th.
On the weekend of October 18-19, the team will split up and go to two different races. On Friday the 18th, a portion of the team will compete at the IC4A Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City while another portion of the team will compete at the Panorama Farms Invite in Charlottesville at the University of Virginia.
The Patriot League Championships will take place on November 2 at nearby Lafayette College followed by the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional at Penn State on November 15. The NCAA Championships will take place at the University of Wisconsin on November 23 should any Lehigh student-athletes qualify.
