BETHLEHEM, Pa - Lehigh men's tennis graduate student Matt Kleiman was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.

Kleiman went 3-0 in a 1-1 week for Lehigh, going undefeated at both number one singles and number one doubles.

In Lehigh's Patriot League opener against Loyola Maryland, Kleiman earned a two-set victory over the Greyhounds' number one player Matt Cardano. In addition, he and Marc Blekhman picked up a 6-4 win at number one doubles in Lehigh's 4-1 victory over the Greyhounds.

Against the Navy Midshipmen in Lehigh's outdoor home opener, Kleiman took down Navy's number one player Sasha Panyan in two sets as well. He and Blekhman were leading their doubles match at number one before it was halted due to Navy's clinch.

The award is Kleiman's first Player of the Week this season and second overall for his career. He earned the distinction last season following a match-clinching victory in a comeback win over IUPUI over spring break. Kleiman holds a singles record of 8-7 (2-0 PL) on the season and a doubles mark of 9-4 (1-0 PL).

The Mountain Hawks will be back in action this Sunday, April 7 for Senior Day against the Colgate Raiders. Play is set to begin at 12 p.m. from Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts.
